Windows Phone 8 U.S. Launch Line Up Revealed

Microsoft had more than just software and sales numbers on hand for its press conference today, they also announced the launch line up for Windows Phone 8 in the U.S.

Verizon will be getting the HTC Windows Phone 8X, Nokia Lumia 822, and the Samsung ATIV Odyssey. The Windows Phone 8X, a high end competitor to Nokia’s 920, will be available “by Thanksgiving,” starting at $199 for the 16 GB model. The ATIV Odyssey, a Samsung phone exclusive to the carrier, will launch “in December,” for an undisclosed price. An exact ship date wasn’t available for the 822, a variant of the 810, but Microsoft did say it would sell for $49 and would be up for grabs by the holidays.

The 8X will also be coming to T-Mobile, along with the Lumia 810, on November 14. The 8X will sell for fifty dollars less than Verizon’s version, a pretty good deal if you’re a T-Mobile customer. The Lumia 810 will sell $99.

If you prefer to get your tiled fix from Ma Bell, you’ll get to pick between the Lumia 920, HTC 8X, and Lumia 810. Microsoft didn’t announce pricing for any of the three phones, but did say they would be available in November.

Sprint was noticeably absent from the announcement.
