You may have noticed that Current Editorials looks a little different today. That’s because we’ve been working behind-the-scenes to create a more streamlined and better looking version of our site for you, our readers, and today we’re proud to launch Current Editorials 2.0! Let’s go over a few of the new features.
Our top banner has been redesigned with the ‘CE’ logo, and features cityscape images from major cities across the U.S. and Canada! You’ll see beautiful images of New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, and Miami appear as you browse the site.
We’re introducing a new Trending section on the right side of the homepage. This section will feature popular stories, giving you quick access to the content you care about most. Trending stories will include everything from editorials, to news, to reviews.
Think of this section as our “Editorial of the Week” section. Spotlight will feature a top editorial piece from our talented staff of writers, and will be updated about once a week. This is content we want to highlight, an article you should not miss!
Current Editorials is proud to partner with ShortFormBlog to host news stories from around the world on our homepage. Check out the latest news stories from SFB in their custom widget on our sidebar!
Our sidebar has been redesigned, with a new Topics section at the bottom. These were designed to resemble the “columns” of a newspaper; the places in which you find stories about a certain topic. We’re starting with Apple, Google, Business, and Social Media – the topics we find ourselves posting about most often. You can expect these to change, or more to appear, as time goes on. We also have sections listing the latest posts from our “News” and “Editorial” categories.
Finally, we have tweaked some font settings site-wide to hopefully make it easier for you to read our content.
So enjoy Current Editorials 2.0 – we think it provides an easier way to navigate the site, and it looks a lot nicer too! Let us know what you think of the redesign, we’re always open to suggestions! To celebrate the launch, our team has prepared a bunch of awesome new editorial content that you can not miss, so get reading!
